Hi babes,

Ok now, start with a good moisturiser to hydrate the skin and a great foundation. Most skin needs foundation only down the centre of the face so apply sparingly and blend out towards the ears. Always seek professional advice when you're matching a foundation. All the major brands have a makeup artist working for them in big department stores. They will advise you on the best shade for your skin. The biggest mistake people make when buying foundation is using it to make them fairer, and they end up looking grey.....seriously.. A foundation should be used to even out your skin and help make it look flawless. It has to look like your skin in a bottle. And don't test out the colour on your hand, always test it on your face. After foundation, apply pressed powder lightly, i repeat, lightly, just to set the foundation.

To me, blusher is optional. If you choose to put it on, just apply orangy colour (for Asians) lightly on the apple of the cheecks to make it look as if you're blushing :)

Apply mascara in light coats from root to tip, allowing each coat to dry.This way you can achieve full voluminious lashes. Always remember to coat the back of the lashes as well as the front so that you coat the lash 360 degrees!

For daily makeup, you can opt for natural and earth tone colours like brown, orange, grey or even blue. Line your eyes with brown eyeliner for more subtle look or black eyeliner for a more dramatic and defined look. But always remember less is more.

Wearing lip colour is about confidence - red or fucshia lips can make you instantly sexy, like putting on a pair of heels. But never let the lipstick wear you. If your lips are thin try lipsticks in sation or gloss to plump them out. If you have very full lips and want to play them down opt for medium tones in satin or matt as this will help to minimize. If you can't get a lip pencil to match your lipstick, go without. Lips look ultra modern when left undefined. If yourlipstick bleeds MAC's Prep and Prime lip is great for keeping the colour firmly in place.

So there you go, good foundation, pressed powder, a little bitof blusher, mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, lipstick and you're set :). Have fun girls.......!!!

Some tips for applying eyeshadows.. Always remember that if the eye shadow is LIGHTER than your eye colour it will give a NATURAL look in your eyes while if the eye shadow is DARKER than your eye colour, it will give a DRAMATIC look. Women with brown eyes can go with any kind of eye shadows and it won’t look disastrous on them. You can also choose from cream, powder or pencil to use as your eye shadow or if you don’t have much time to apply eye shadows but you cannot simply go out without it, eye shadow stickers will do the trick.

Most Asians have dark brown eye colour but hey, there are something called coloured contact lenses so we must know a bit about eyeshadow colours that suit different eye colour right.. so here goes:-

For Hazel eyes – soft peaches, light violets and golden browns will work best. Solid mauve are said to be the best eye shadows for those who have hazel eyes, so why don’t you try it?

For brown eyes – cream and taupe will work best if you’re going for a casual look. If you are choosing a brown eye shadow, it must be a shade darker than your eye colour. Royal blue, pink and purple will work best if you are going for a party look.

For blue eyes – never use eye shadows that are exactly the colour of your eyes, since this will make your eyes duller. Never use blue eye shadows if you have blue eyes. Gray, violet, taupe, camel, charcoal or dark brown will be the best colours for you. Silver, gold, turquoise will work best if you will be out partying.

For green eyes – deep purple, brown, taupe and khaki for casual look and gold and bright purple for a funkier look. Avoid the colour white, pink and silver.

As promised... The kind of mask you use depends on your skin type. Generally, clay or mud masks are best for normal or oily skin, emollient-based ones are good for dry skin, and those with combination skin types can use one suited to oily skin on the t-zone and one for dry skin on other areas. Women with acne-prone skin can choose masks that also contain sulfur, salicylic acid (unless you’re allergic to aspirin) or benzoyl peroxide.

No matter what kind of mask you’re using, remove all makeup before hand. It’s also a good idea to exfoliate first, because getting rid of dead skin will yield better results, because it will allow the product to do its job better. Apply the mask to clean skin, wait 10 to 20 minutes for it to dry, and then rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry. Some masks don’t dry, and can be either wiped off with a soft washcloth or rinsed off. If you try a new product and it starts to sting or feel uncomfortable, it doesn’t mean it’s “working.” The mask is probably either too harsh for you, or you’ve left it on too long. It could also mean you’re sensitive to one or more of the ingredients. Wash it off right away.

Finally, don’t apply masks too often; once every week for combination and oily skin and every two weeks for normal to dry skin is plenty. Even if you have oily, blemish-prone skin, applying masks too frequently can end up drying out your skin and irritating it further.

Maybe you would like to try these home-made masks and see if they are any good for your skin -

1. Anti-aging mask for blotchy wrinkled skin: This should be applied every other day. Mix 2 tablespoon of oatmeal with half a cup of milk and cook gently till it becomes soft. Stir in 2 teaspoon of olive oil and beat together. Allow to cool then spread it over the face and neck. Leave it on for about 25 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

2. Rich pack for dry skin: Whisk 1egg white till it thickens, add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of sunflower oil. Apply on the face for 20 minutes and wash off with warm water.

3. Toner for normal skin: This is a refreshing toner for normal skin. Chop up a small size fresh cucumber and liquidise it with half a cup of plain yoghurt. Apply the mixture for 5-10 minutes, and wash it off. The remainder can be stored in the fridge for maximum 7 days.

4. Tonic for oily skin: Whisk one egg white until it thickens, then whisk in 1 teaspoon of honey. Finally add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply to your face and neck avoiding the delicate areas. Leave on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Hey everyone.....
Today let's talk about face masks and how they help our skin. Hmmm...

Basically all face masks have some sort of cleansing action. Various ingredients are used in the masks, depending on the skin type. Clays form an important component of many face masks due to their excellent absorbing agents. Gums and polymers are added to lend sticking properties to the clays. They help to remove dirt, sebum ( an oily secretion of the sebaceous gland which is responsible for keeping the skin and hair moisturized) and dead skin so that the skin looks clean, soft and youthful.

FULLER'S EARTH is a special kind of clay often used in face packs and contains aluminium silicate. As it dries on the skin, it absorbs the dead cells and blots up any excessive oil on the skin. It is therefore excellent for oily skin and should not be used on dry skin.

KAOLIN is also a fine clay which has long been used for tummy upsets because it absorbs toxins from the system. When used on the skin it removes grime, oils and dead cells. Kaolin is again ideally suited for oily skin and best avoided on dry skin.

Another ingredient of some of the masks is the peeling or the exfoliating agent that removes the top layer of dead cells from the skin, leaving behind fresh youthful skin. They are usually well tolerated and brighten up a dull complexion. Oatmeal and bran are the commonly used peelers.

OATMEAL is obtained from oats and it is rich in vitamin B and vitamin E. Eventhough vitaminE has always been attributed with anti-aging qualities, it is quite unlikely that the contact for a short time, as during the application of the face mask would benefit the skin... The rather youthful appearance of the skin after use of oatmeal-containing masks is due to the removal of the superficial dead skin. This effect is similar to the effect of epidermabrasion (skin peel in which the outermost layers of the skin are sloughed off).

Also added to many masks are natural ingredients - cucumbers, curds, lemon juice, tomatoes etc. You must identify your skin type before applying the mask. It is best to try out a few of the masks suited to your skin type and discover for yourself which of them is the most beneficial to your skin.

Noori nie my friend's daughter, nak gi interview.. Kesian dia pukul 6 pagi dah kena sampai kat depan rumah I sbb kena siap makeup by 7am (tapi terlepas jugak ke 7.30 kot!). Gee buat birthday party untuk anak teruna dia so dia mintak i makeup kan.. Simple day makeup. Dia pakai tudung so tak buat rambut la, dekat area anak rambut tu pun i tak blend betul2 sangat sbb nanti cover dengan tudung.. Shading i buat manja-manja je, siang kan.. nanti obvious sangat. I emphasise more on eye makeup, colour i buat pink and brown.

Makan semeja dengan Nas, so dapat la borak sikit sebanyak.. dia sangat la tak kedekut ilmu.

Hari Sabtu lepas I pergi Bengkel Perkahwinan Eh! kat Sheraton Subang. Seronok jugak jumpa kawan2 baru... Paling suka sot Nas Greta Ideas. Memang hebat lah idea diorg nie, sangat cantik wedding yang dia buat! Memang tak boleh nak cakap lah, korang tengok sendiri. Nanti i letak link dia kat blog nie.

I pulak boleh lupa pulak nak bawak camera hari tu... Nie gambar dari my friend's camera.

Kak Long nie cousin Ninie, dia datang dah makeup sikit2. I just touch up eyeshadow, blusher dan pakai fake eyelashes.
